Tourism experts predict that the domestic industry would most probably see a full recovery by the end of this year. Official numbers show that the country that hosts the Great Wall of China -one of the New 7 Wonders of the World- has recovered by 80% only with local travels.
According to China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Luo Shugang, “a total of 637 million visits were made across the country during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from Oct 1 to 8, which represented 79 percent of the visits made during the same time last year on a comparable basis”.
Expectations are set for the end of the year, since travel agencies are launching several benefits for hotel accommodations and tours.
