The country that hosts Petra, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, has joined the list of countries implementing coronavirus free zone policies in order to attract tourists while providing safety for everyone.
According to the Minister of Communications and Media Affairs, Sakher Dudin, Jordan is planning to create a virus-free Golden Zone for vaccinated tourists that will include Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea and Petra.
Dudin also stated that the government is currently working on security protocols “to help people economically and to get to a safe summer. We are working with all partners to ensure the implementation of unified regional protocols to ensure the safety and ease of movement of tourists and citizens.”
