For the first time in a year, the doors to visit Italy’s New 7 Wonder of the World will be opened seven days a week since the country eased sanitary measures.
From April 26 the Colosseum, along with the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill received its first visitors as Rome entered in the yellow zone due the cases descent. The archaeological park will be open from 10.30 until 19.15 with online booking mandatory and time-slots, as well as a new free app which contains the maps of the routes, the historical contents and all the information useful for the visit.
Colosseum’s archeological park director, Alfonsina Russo, stated to the press that conservation works have continued its pace during the last year and this will allow visitors to discover new spaces that had been closed for decades in this new reopening.
