From May 16 to 26 Indonesia presented the best destinations the country has to offer -such as Komodo Island, one the New 7 Wonder of Nature- at the hybrid Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Dubai 2021.
According to the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry, this showcase represented an unique opportunity to prove Indonesia’s tourism and economy potential and its resilience amid the pandemic.
During a press release, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, stressed that “we have to collaborate, adapt and innovate. This event is a concrete effort to reach the three goals as the collaboration between the government and industry must create mutual support to adapt to the new way of tourism business in the pandemic, and surely create new innovation to embrace the market in the post-pandemic situation by expanding Indonesia’s tourism”.
The Ministry’s deputy of marketing, Nia Niscaya, stated that “through the event we would meet potential buyers for Indonesia’s tourist destinations, especially Bali that would be first reopened after it is ready for the implementation of CHSE-based (Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability) health protocols”.
