As part of the authorities’ plan to restart the sector, the City and Cape Town Tourism (CTT) launched Tourism Month in the home of Table Mountain, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
During September, promotional campaigns and special offers will be launched to attract visitors to the Mother City, and according to experts this month has the potential to provide great relief for the tourism and hospitality sector.
The official presentation was made at the CTT’s visitor experience centre, under the theme of “tourism for inclusive growth” where authorities explained their plans to foster the renewal and recovery of the tourism sector in Cape Town.
According to Economic Opportunities and Assets Management Mayco member, James Vos, “new programmes and campaigns will be released and used to stimulate supply and demand for domestic and international markets through inclusive growth, while showcasing to visitors that Cape Town is open and ready for travel”.
