The World Travel Market in London is one of the world’s two (along with the ITB in Berlin) truly global travel and tourism industry conventions and fairs, and this year it is particularly significant as it is the first “in person” global tourism fair to take place since the start of the pandemic nearly two years ago.

Travel industry professionals arrived in significant numbers in London across the main three days of November 1-3, and stands and meetings were fully attended. Eyewitness reports suggest a presence of at least 50% compared with normal levels, both in terms of surface area and attendance, which is considered very positive in the unique context we are still emerging from.

Many of the nations who are proud homes to the voted New 7 Wonders of the World and the New 7 Wonders of Nature were present with their own stands, displaying their Wonders as a main feature. A high level official delegation from New7Wonders itself also attended WTM, for meetings across the N7W family to discuss both the global Wonders as well as the developing National 7 Wonders campaigns.
