The city that hosts Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, was the most chosen destination in the country for the latest long holiday by passengers of airlines covering various domestic routes.

According to SKY Airline, from October 30 to November 2 nearly 5.400 passengers visited Cusco a day, followed by 3.400 people who visited Arequipa.

SKY Business Manager, Franco Chaparro, stated that “this provision will be beneficial for travelers, since many of them will be encouraged to make their travel plans a reality, and others will extend their stays in different regions of the country”. Chaparro also added that the demand has been increasing over recent months and that many tourism related businesses have been seeking to recover their full capacity to receive tourists.
