Fendi prepares a haute couture show inside the ancient Roman Forum in honour of the creative director of the firm Karl Lagerfeld. The show will be on the Palatine Hill, the political center of the ancient Roman Empire. This show will attract the eyes of people from all over the world to the Roman capital, home of the Roman Colosseum, one of the 7 Wonders of the World.

The fashion firm also announced its plans to help restore the Temple of Venus and Rome, located east of the Colosseum, with a donation of 2.5 million euros. In 2013, Fendi financed the restoration of the Fontana di Trevi, the most famous water source in the city, which became legendary thanks to Anita Ekberg of Fellini’s Dolce Vita.

“I am very proud of the restoration of the Temple of Venus and Rome, which is why I continue to support the cultural heritage, not only of Rome and Italy but of the whole world”, Fendi CEO Serge Brunschwig said in a statement.
