The Peruvian Commission for Promotion of Export and Tourism (PromPeru) continues its dedicated efforts to showcase the extraordinary tourist attractions the country has to offer, this time at LATA EXPO 2023 —the largest event for tourism operators dedicated to Latin America.  This significant gathering brought together leading suppliers, buyers, companies, and travel agents from the United Kingdom and Europe, all with a focus on Latin American destinations.

PromPeru successfully arranged 28 meetings with key operators in the British and European tourism sector, presenting the best of its cultural, tourism, and gastronomic offerings. Visitors at the expo had the opportunity to admire captivating images of the destinations promoted by the “Peru Now” campaign, including the mesmerising Uros floating islands and the iconic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Attendees were also treated to delightful presentations of Peruvian music, further enhancing the experience.

The participating countries at this prestigious fair were carefully selected by LATA, the largest Latin American travel association on the European continent, headquartered in London. PromPeru, in collaboration with local governments and the private sector, remains dedicated to actively promoting and participating in events geared towards the continued growth and prosperity of the tourism industry.

It is worth mentioning that Peru has already welcomed over 840,000 tourists from January to May of this year, a testament to the nation’s growing appeal as a top travel destination.
