The Vietnam Tourism Administration (ATV) reported that it will carry out coordinated work with several locations to carry out various tourism promotion activities abroad in the coming months in an effort to attract more international visitors to the country.

As a first step, Vietnam will participate in the 10th edition of the Indonesian international travel exhibition “Bali and Beyond Travel Fair” (BBTF) in Bali (Indonesia) from June 12 to 14.

The annual event will feature company-to-business sessions to facilitate cooperation in MICE tourism, entertainment tourism and special tourism products.

Then, from June 23 to July 3, a tourist roadshow will take place in Paris (France), Frankfurt (Germany) and Milan (Italy) where the ATV, towns and travel companies will present their policies, destinations and tourist products to the European markets, seeking to generate partners and attract visitors to the nation of Southeast Asia.

Subsequently, from July 1 to 8, a program will be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg to popularize the beauty of Vietnam and the new tourism policies that help recover the number of Russian travelers.

The “Vietnamese Culture Days” are also scheduled for this time in the two cities to help present Vietnam’s culture and tourism to the public in Russia. The events will include artistic performances, film screenings, exhibitions and workshops, according to the ATV under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The ATV indicated that during the first five months of 2024, Vietnam received almost 7.6 million international arrivals, 64.9% more year-on-year and 3.9% more than in the same period of 2019, before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year, the tourism sector aims to receive between 17 and 18 million international visitors, 110 million domestic travelers and about 33 billion dollars in revenue.

Most of the tourists who visit Vietnam reach Halong Bay in the north of the country (Quang Ninh province) – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature since 2011. In the place, visitors are fascinated by the 1,600 islands and islets that form a spectacular view of limestone pillars. Most of the islands are uninhabited and unaltered by man. The exceptional scenic beauty of the place is complemented by its great value for biology.
