Ha Long Bay – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world, is located in the coastal Vietnamese province of Quang Ninh- Vietnam, and received on October 21, the three million foreign tourist of 2024.

A couple of American nationality arrived at the Ha Long cruise port aboard the Viking Orion completed the figure, which puts Quang Ninh in a position to greatly improve the proposed goal for the current year of serving 3.5 million international travelers.

The fact of completing the three million even before the end of October shows that the territory successfully overcame the damage caused by the recent scourge of supertyphoon Yagi and is ready to receive more visitors from other latitudes, said the director of the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, Nguyen Huyen Anh.

Another 20 international cruises are expected to arrive from here at the end of the year to this province, which according to the VNA news agency is also promoting a maritime tourist route between the city of Beihai (China) and Ha Long.

In 2019, before the scourge of the Covid-19 pandemic, the town reported approximately 14 million arrivals, including 6 million international travelers. The figure decreased to 540 thousand foreign tourists in 2020, 50 thousand in 2021, 304 thousand in 2022 and began to grow again last year by totaling 2.15 million.

This coastal province currently has more than 2,200 accommodations with about 43,000 rooms, many of them with four and five-star standards.

In addition to the famous Ha Long Bay – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the World, attractions include the luxury resort on Reu Island, the water park and the high-level residential area Ben Doan, in the city of Ha Long itself, and the luxurious Quang Hanh thermal complex, in the town of Cam Pha.

Other places preferred by tourists who arrive there are the Ha Long Library-Museum, the neighboring Bai Tu Long Bay and the picturesque island districts of Van Don and Co To.
