The province of Palawan has yet again secured another recognition as one of the world’s best islands to visit in 2025.

The US media company named the Philippine destination as “No. 1 in World’s Best Islands to Visit for 2025” owing to its tourism offerings that cater to both adventure seekers and beach bums.

In its list, it praised Palawan’s Kayangan Lake in Coron, lagoons of Bacuit Bay in El Nido and kayak through caves on the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

“This incredible honor affirms what we Filipinos have always known: that Palawan, with its pristine turquoise waters, towering limestone cliffs, majestic underground rivers, and rich biodiversity, is truly a paradise unlike any other,” Department of Tourism (DOT) Christina Frasco said.

From the enchanting lagoons of El Nido and Coron to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, Palawan continues to captivate the hearts of travelers from all over the world.

Under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Frasco said the DOT said it will double efforts to position the Philippines as a tourism powerhouse in Asia.

Palawan’s recognition aligns perfectly with our ongoing efforts to promote sustainable, inclusive, and globally competitive tourism, while highlighting the unique culture and hospitality of our people,” it said.

This global acclaim is not only a celebration of Palawan’s breathtaking natural beauty, but also a tribute to the local communities, tourism workers, and stakeholders who have worked tirelessly to preserve and promote its treasures”.
