Wego, an online travel marketplace, has entered into a partnership with Jordan Tourism Board to expand its reach and attract more visitors to Jordan from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Dr. Abed Al-Razzaq Arabiyat, managing director of Jordan Tourism Board, said: “Wego will promote the key attractions in Jordan including Petra, Dead Sea, Aqaba, Wadi Rum, Ajlun and Salt among other hidden gems to its users. It will also shed light on the experiences and activities during the summer period.”
Saudi and Kuwait markets are major feeder markets for Jordan tourism. Petra has recently been visited by countless numbers of tourists from the GCC and the rest of the world, marking 2019 to be the best year in terms of the number of tourists to the ancient city.
