This year’s carnival theme was the commemoration of the 50 years since man stepped on the moon for the first time. More than 130 gondolas participated in the journey at the opening of the carnival.

The origin of the masks comes from a method that the nobles used at the time of voting, thus maintaining the anonymity. Today, there are competitions to choose the best masks and costumes that participate in the carnival – and of course, one of the best attractions to see!.
