Yesterday, May 7th, the 7 Wonders of Argentina were announced, winners of the contest was chosen by a national voting campaign.
The contest organized by the New7Wonders Foundation received over one million votes sent by people from Argentina by text message and also from the website.
The 7 Wonders of Argentina are: Las Salinas Grandes in Jujuy, Glaciar Perito Moreno in Santa Cruz, Parque Nacional Talampaya in La Rioja, Selva Misionera in Misiones, Río Mina Clavero in Córdoba, Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi in Río Negro and Bañado la Estrella in Formosa.
In 2007 the New7Wonders Foundation carried out the contest that chose the New 7 Wonders of the World, as well as the New 7 Wonders of Nature and the New 7 Wonders Cities, promoting sustainable tourism as well as the participation of all the citizens of the world.
