The Intihuatana Pyramid, the Temple of the Sun and the Temple of the Condor can only be visited for three hours a day. With these measures, it is intended to protect and preserve structures that, due to the large number of visits they receive daily, could deteriorate.

More than 5.600 tourists enter the Inca city daily. The administrator of the National Park of Machu Picchu, Miguel Zamora, said that the Wonder has its own fragility and conservation measures are extremely necessary.

The entrance to the wonder will still be at 6:00 am and the output at 5:30 pm, as it has been for years. With the new changes approved, a tourist can be inside the citadel for four hours top.
