The Komodo Survival Program (KSP) is an Indonesian-based non-profit organization established in 2007 with the mission to provide sound information on wildlife biology to help conservation plans for the Komodo dragon and its natural habitat. KSP also helps develop local expertise for improving general knowledge on the biology of this endangered species.
The KSP has many tasks, such as the acquisition of quantitative data on the biology, ecology, and conservation status of the Komodo dragon, its natural habitat and the biodiversity around them, and also supporting the involvement of local communities in wildlife protection and monitoring activities through, development of awareness and sustainable development conservation projects to help conserve and protect their environment.
