The first flight that connects Spain with the Argentine province of Misiones arrived last August 2, to Puerto Iguazú. There will be two weekly frequencies on Mondays and Fridays, one with a stopover in Asunción -Paraguay-, and the other direct from Madrid, with airplanes with capacity for 300 passengers.

The Argentine authorities affirmed that «this new route brings Argentina closer to the world». The governor of Misiones, Hugo Passalacqua, expressed his joy for the flight that connects Misiones with Europe directly without going through Buenos Aires, and that it represents the result of more than two years of work: “this means more employment for the people from Misiones” he emphasized.

aireuropa2With this flight, Iguazu will be connected to 52 destinations in Europe, Asia and the Middle East where Air Europa, a Globalia group company and a member of Skyteam arrives.
