In the Municipality of Foz de Iguazú, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Great Wall of China and the Iguazú Falls in Brazil and Argentina.
The parties agreed to cooperate in the promotion and mutual dissemination of tourism resources, in addition to developing cultural activities and events, including the week of exposure of tourism and culture of the other participant as part of the agreement.
At the event the mayors of Puerto Iguazú, Claudio Filippa, and Foz de Iguazú, Francisco Lacerda; the tourism representatives of both municipalities: Leopoldo Lucas, president of the Iguazú Turismo Ente Municipal (Iturem), and Gilmar Piolla, secretary of Tourism of Foz de Iguazú were all present.
Also present at the event were members of the eastern country delegation, headed by Du Feijin, member of the Standing Committee and head of the Beijing Advertising Department; Li Baochun, vice director of Tourism and Culture of Beijing and general secretary of the World Tourist Cities Federation, members of the tourism team of Foz do Iguaçu and other companions of the Chinese delegation.
