Officials from the Argentine government initiated the project that will renovate and modernize the airport of the city of Iguazú, home to one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

With this project, the national government will put into operation a space that connects more airplanes with local and international destinations and, in turn, show advances in infrastructure before the presidential elections in October of this year in Argentina. According to the expectations of the company, it’s projected that more than 1,500,000 passengers will arrive during 2019 to visit the Iguazú Falls.

It is projected that by the end of the year the extension of the terminal will be fully enabled. Five airlines already operate there and in August a direct flight to Madrid will be added.
