Starting on Monday July 8 and until Sunday August 19, the annual repair of the cableway of Table Mountain will be carried out. The maintenance team will make renovations and replace the cables of the cableway this year, therefore the need to close the access for six weeks.
The work includes a mechanical review of the revolving floors and the mechanisms of the cab doors, plus the replacement of the ropes that push the cableway up and down the mountain. The Table Mountain coffee shop, the Wi-Fi lounge, the gift shop, and the baths at the top of Table Mountain will remain closed during the six weeks of maintenance.
