Peruvian authorities are convinced that attracting tourists once the coronavirus-generated pandemic ends will not be an easy task, but they are confident that the magic surrounding one of the New 7 Wonders of the World will help the purpose.

The teamwork that is being carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), the Regional Government of Cusco (GRC) and the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Dircetur) to face the challenge, is a good omen in times of crisis like the one we are experiencing today.

The Machu Picchu district depends almost entirely on tourism, so the action plan will focus on attracting domestic and foreign tourists with low-cost services in tourism agencies, hotels, restaurants and related services.
