According to the Ministry of Tourism, the reopening of the sector is going as planned in the state of Yucatán, home to one of the New 7 Wonders of the World: Chichén Itzá. Mexico is one of the countries that received the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) “Safe Travels” stamp.

 

The state of Yucatán is officially in the second phase of its tourism reactivation plan, successfully reopening cenotes and archeological sites; tourist activities, hotels and restaurants, along with limited operation of congress and conventions centers.

 

All businesses must receive the “Good Sanitary Practices” abilitation, developed by the Ministry of Tourism of the state of Yucatán and undergo an on-site review by the Yucatán Health Secretariat.
