As a way to present the world what Peruvian tourism has to offer, the Commission the Preru’s Promotion for Export (Promperú) carried out the International Tourism Forum. Peru is not only home to the Wonder of the World Machu Picchu, but it also has among its destinations the Amazon River, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

The promotion of tourism development in the North Amazon area was one of the highlights of the Forum. In one of the exhibitions, the president of the National Chamber of Tourism (Canatur), Carlos Canales, pointed out that he is committed “to the North Amazon circuit. I think that in five years it should be what the southern circuit is today, which represents 70% of the incoming tourism flow”.

Peru’s tourism referents hope that in the coming years new investments in infrastructure will be developed in that area of the country, thanks to the fact that the Peruvian legal framework helps the investors to locate without drawbacks.
