As a way to reignite the tourism sector and therefore the state’s economy, the government of Yucatán announced a new recovery plan that involves international support to develop the home of Chichén Itzá, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

During a press conference the Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal pointed out that, as part of the state’s Economic Recovery Plan, authorities were reunited with investors from Germany to support and develop the regional economy.

The meetings were the first step into the launch of the Tourism Recovery Programme by the ENPACT startup destined to travel and tourism businesses, an initiative that has the support of the German Ministry of Cooperation and Economic Development and the TUI Care Foundation.

The Director of the Yucatecan Institute of Entrepreneurs (IYEM), Antonio González Blanco, stated that working with German authorities and the ENPACT firm “has been very productive in bringing options to entrepreneurs and businessmen, such as this programme, which grants up to nine thousand euros and specialized mentoring for the needs of each business”.
