The New 7 Wonder of Nature located in Vietnam is one of the 12 nominees for Asia’s leading tourist attraction category at 2021 World Travel Awards and authorities are inviting people to vote for it.
The Wonder of Nature will compete with other regional tourist destinations such as Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Great Wall of China, Forbidden City in Beijing, Tokyo Imperial Palace, and Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. In the 2020 edition, Vietnam was chosen as Asia’s leading culinary, culture and heritage destination.
Participants have time to vote until midnight on September 1 on the awards official website and the winner will be announced on October 6 in Dubai, where this year’s ceremony will be hosted.
The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 “to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries”. On its 28th anniversary, the WTA is expected to surpass the 2,033,494 votes recorded during the 2020 edition. However, to put this into context, by comparison this is less than half a percent of the global votes generated by the worldwide New7Wonders campaigns – over 600 million to date.
