The country of the Iguazu Falls, the New 7 Wonder of Nature shared with Brazil, and which since May 2019 has its own Natural 7 Wonders, has already registered a movement of US$40 million thanks to the PreViaje (PreTrip) promotional programme. 

 

PreViaje is a program launched during 2020 by the country’s Ministry of Tourism that seeks to promote domestic tourism by returning travelers 50% of the value of the trip to spend there. Last month the government announced the second edition of the program, and in the first three days it was used by 250,000 tourists and mobilized more than US$40 million.

 

According to the Minister of Tourism, Matías Lammens, “the success of PreViaje is a very important injection to continue reactivating tourism activity throughout the country. From the National State we are carrying out a large investment to promote a sector that will be strategic in the stage that is beginning. In each province, each destination, there is the expectation of having a historic summer season”.
