Jordanian authorities announced a new agreement with the international low-cost airline Wizz Air that is expected to attract 167,000 tourists to the home of Petra, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, during its 1st year of operation.
The new alliance was announced by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, H.E Nayef Hmeidi Al-Fayez, who said that “we are pleased to launch the agreement with the international low-cost carrier Wizz Air, confident that the airline will have a great impact on increasing the number of tourists coming into the Kingdom in the upcoming period.”
The Hungarian low-cost plans to operate eight new routes into and from Jordan to Budapest, Rome, Milan and Vienna, and the agreement is expected to attract 167,000 tourists during its first year in operation.
