The country that hosts Ha Long Bay, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, is starting to resume the pre pandemic levels in tourism as in one month it received over 42% more than the previous one.
According to the General Statistics Office (GSO), over 15.000 foreign tourists visited Vietnam in November which meant a 42% increase in comparison to October. The number also surpassed the annual percentage: in the first 11 months of this year, the number of foreign tourist arrivals to Vietnam was 140,100, down 96% percent year-on-year.
In an attempt to attract foreign tourists, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism is working on the “Live fully in Vietnam” campaign which according to the official website, includes “activities to promote and stimulate tourism recovery, including popularising photos, video clips and articles on both domestic and international communications channels”.
