During the Lunar New Year holiday, over 207,000 local and international tourists travelled  to Jeju Island, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. 

 

According to the Jeju Tourism Association, the number of visitors to the island from January 29 to February 2 reached 207,000, 35.2% more compared to last year. In this sense, the JTA registered a total of 1,244 scheduled Jeju-bound flights which meant 5.9% compared with the volume of flights during non holiday periods. 

 

The Jeju Tourism Association registered that the rate of hotel room reservations reached 70% and that of stand-alone vacation cabins also stood at around 80%.
