CIMATUR 2022 is approaching, the largest International Tourism Marketing Congress on the triple border. In its seventh edition, it returns in-person after two years of the pandemic. CIMATUR will be held on September 14th, 15th and 16th, at the facilities of the majestic Recanto Cataratas Thermas Resort hotel in Foz de Iguazú.
CIMATUR 2022, with Misiones Online as a media sponsor, was declared national tourist interest by Paraguay’s National Secretary of Tourism. The event is supported by the International Federation of Physical Education Teachers (FIEP), Misiones’ Ministry of Tourism, and the participation of the World Tourism Organization through its representative Natalia Bayona.
“Sport is among the three main motivations for tourists visiting a country and it is, without a doubt, an opportunity to promote destinations and their economic development. It is also an excellent tool for promoting sports and healthy lifestyles”, said Miryan Moreno, general coordinator of the event.
Furthermore, as part of CIMATUR 2022, the First International Cocktail Competition with cultural identity will be held, seeking to support South America’s gastronomy. The goal is to highlight the typical drinks of each country with competitions, training, and the creation of signature drinks along with one that represents the Tri-national unit of the region. The competition has the support of the International Cocktail Association.
The event will have the presence of important world-class speakers, who will develop keynote speeches, debate panels, and, above all, practical classes and on-site experiences.
