In this context, Mongolian Airlines launched a new direct flight from Shanghai to Ulanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
In this way, Mongolian Airlines operates five routes from Ulanbaatar to Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Hohhot, and plans to add one route to Erenhot in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia.

Delta currently operates 17 weekly flights between Shanghai and the United States, including daily services to Seattle and Detroit, and three weekly flights to Los Angeles.
On the other hand, Emirates officially inaugurated a daily non-stop passenger service between Dubai and Shenzhen.
Shenzhen becomes Emirates’ fourth strategic gateway to mainland China, joining Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. With this addition, the number of weekly passenger flights between China and the United Arab Emirates increases to 42, further strengthening the Air Silk Road.

During the 2025 summer travel season, the number of flights at Shanghai’s Hongqiao and Pudong International Airports is projected to reach 150,000, a 5% year-on-year increase.
