The city of Puerto Iguazú celebrates this Tuesday, November 11, a new edition of #CataratasDay, in commemoration of the choice of the Iguazú Falls as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the World. The day will combine business activities, promotional actions and benefits for tourists who visit the city.

14 years have passed since that memorable day when the Iguazu Falls became, by global vote of millions of people, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the World. The campaign organized by the Swiss foundation New7Wonders, mobilized the population of the whole planet, seeking this recognition for 7 privileged destinations in the world. In this way, the nomination of the Iguazú Falls as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the World, meant a historical recognition and a decisive impulse for tourism in Misiones and in the region.

Commemorating this important event, this Tuesday, November 11, within the framework of #CataratasDay, a business round will be held in the morning between tourism entrepreneurs, which

Will bring together providers, agencies, hoteliers, operators and institutional representatives from throughout the region. The meeting seeks to strengthen commercial ties, generate new opportunities and above all continue to position the destination Iguazú as a leader in the region, and in national and international tourism.

It should also be remembered from Saturday 8, and until this Tuesday 11 November, the city of Puerto Iguazú carries out a campaign of discounts and special promotions for visitors, with benefits in hotels, restaurants, excursions and local shops.

This action, jointly promoted between the public and private sectors, seeks to promote tourism and celebrate the pride of having one of the most impactful New 7 Wonders of Nature in the World on the planet.

* Cruises Iguazú offers 2×1 in drinks on board;

* Hotel Guaminí offers a 25% discount on its restaurant and 20% on accommodation;

* Tirolesa Iguazú applies a 15% discount on its activities;

* Duty Free Shop Iguazú offers discounts of between 20% and 40% on a wide variety of products;

* Raíces Amambay and Raíces Iguazú restaurants offer a 30% discount on dinners.

In parallel, this Tuesday, November 11, in the Iguazú National Park, a commemorative activation will be carried out, which will invite tourists to take photographs and share them on social networks with the hashtag #CataratasDay, to participate in an experience that reinforces the symbolic and environmental value of this natural icon.

As part of the celebrations, Puerto Iguazú will host the national final of the contest “Sowing Entrepreneurs”, an academic meeting that seeks to enhance the entrepreneurial spirit, promoting leadership, innovation and teamwork among young people from different regions of the country.

The event that will take place on November 11, 12 and 13 in the halls of the Trade Employee Center of Puerto Iguazú, is organized by SimulArg and the Civil Association Commission for the Integration of Parents Teachers of the E.P.E.T. N.º 4 of Puerto Iguazú, with the support of the Ministry of Tourism of Misiones and the Municipality of Puerto Iguazú.

This final stage will bring together more than 800 students from all over the country, who will compete by applying their knowledge in business management through a simulator designed by the National University of the Coast and the Catholic University of Santa Fe.

It will be a unique opportunity to promote talent, cooperation and entrepreneurial vocation within the framework of the anniversary of one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the World, most admired on the planet.

Since that day, every year the #CataratasDay is celebrated as a day of pride, promotion and environmental commitment, in which the city of Puerto Iguazú dresses up to pay tribute to its Iguazú Falls, renewing before the world, the message of preservation and admiration for one of the New 7 Most Impactful Wonders of Nature in the World on the planet.
