The “Cableway Charity Challenge” is a unique fundraising event that takes place on the slopes of the iconic Table Mountain – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world.
It is designed for runners, walkers or simply for those who like to jog, the goal is simple: reach the top of the Platteklip gorge as many times as possible between sunrise and sunset on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

The “Cableway Charity Challenge” returns on May 9, 2026, inviting athletes and adventurers to take one of the most iconic routes in Cape Town in South Africa, all in support of incredible local beneficiaries:
* Nature Search and Rescue (WSAR)
* Volunteer Forest Fire Services (VWS)
* Ubuntu Football Academy
* Honorary Rangers SANParks
Each step participants take will help raise vital funds for renowned local charities dedicated to supporting vulnerable women and children in Cape Town.
Participants will board climbing through Platteklip Gorge between sunrise and sunset while raising funds for organizations that play a vital role in protecting our Mountain and supporting our communities.
