Palawan recorded more than 1.08 million overnight tourist arrivals in the first half of 2026, with international travelers accounting for more than half of the province’s visitors, according to data from the Provincial Government of Palawan. Beaches& Islands.
Puerto Princesa City- home to the Puerto Princesa Underground River, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature- remained the province’s most visited destination, recording 403,306 overnight arrivals, or 37.18% of the total.
El Nido followed with 345,801 visitors, accounting for 31.88%, while Coron ranked third with 149,962 arrivals, or 13.83%.
Combined, the three destinations accounted for nearly 900,000 arrivals, or more than 80% of all overnight tourists recorded in the province during the first six months of the year. TouristDestinations
San Vicente ranked fourth with 64,292 visitors, followed by Linapacan with 25,386.
The rest of the top 10 destinations were Taytay with 16,150 arrivals, Busuanga with 14,506, Brooke’s Point with 14,371, Narra with 14,341 and Balabac with 8,248.
The figures were based on overnight guest arrivals compiled by the Provincial Government of Palawan as of June 2026.

The province registered 1,084,648 overnight guest arrivals from January to June, based on TourLISTA data from the Palawan Provincial Tourism Office.
Foreign tourists accounted for 587,451 arrivals, or 54.2% of the total, while domestic travelers contributed 497,197 arrivals, or 45.8%.
The figures show that foreign visitors outnumbered domestic tourists by more than 90,000 during the period, highlighting the continued importance of international markets to Palawan’s tourism industry.
The United States was the province’s largest foreign source market with 42,343 overnight arrivals, followed by France with 38,065 and the United Kingdom with 24,873.
Germany recorded 21,710 visitors, while Australia had 21,437. Other countries in Palawan’s top 10 foreign markets were Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Canada and Israel.
