On the 60th anniversary of ITB Berlin, one of the main B2B platforms with the greatest offer and relevance in the international tourism sector, Iguazú generated great interest in tour operators, travel agencies and tourism service providers in Germany and the main European, Asian and other markets.

During the 3 days of the event (from Tuesday 3 to Thursday 5 March), at the Argentina stand, organized by Inprotur, the destination Iguazú in its space arranged by the Iturem, concentrated a large number of consultations that expressed a marked interest in making trips to the land of the Iguazu Falls.

The fair was a key stage to promote agreements and strengthen links with the German, European and international market.

It is noteworthy that a high percentage of the operators who arrived at the Iguazú stand, already knew the destination and recognized not only the natural beauty and their fascination with the Iguazu Falls – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world – but also highlighted the safety, and sustainable management in the place.

In the same line they assured that they periodically receive inquiries from their customers for the destination Iguazú, and for that reason they approached to make specific consultations, looking for alliances and effective agreements.

One of the wholesale operators briefly explained what the German tourist is looking for, “they want nature, good gastronomy, security, connectivity and they are interested in caring for the environment, that is, a destination that meets these characteristics and that has the plus of sustainable management, is doubly interesting.”

From Inprotur, for their part, they pointed out that one of the most relevant data was the level of maturity of demand during the fair. Since the meetings showed an advanced interest in traveling to Argentina, with multiple requests for quotes and operators who are already defining strategic partners to work the destination.

Since the inauguration of the Argentina stand, on the first day, the growing interest of the German market for our country and its diverse proposal was noticeable. The opening of the stand was headed by the Argentine ambassador to Germany, Betina Pasquali de Fonseca, along with national and European tourism authorities, including representatives of the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany, the ARGE Lateinamerika association and the airline Lufthansa.

And from the first day, key meetings were held with strategic actors for the development of the sector, among them there was a meeting with the airline Lufthansa, which in 2026 celebrates its 100th anniversary and the 70th anniversary of the flight that connects Frankfurt with Buenos Aires.

The meeting left very good prospects to move forward in future joint actions to encourage flights arriving in Argentina to be composed of more tourists from all over Europe.

Landscapes that fall in love, diversity in the offer, excellent gastronomy, security and wealth in the cultural proposal were the most relevant factors, to arouse the interest of the German and international market in this country that generates passions beyond its borders.
