The city of the Iguazu Falls, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world, closed a very good Holy Week 2026, positioning itself as one of the favorites of the country. During the days of the break, almost 25,000 people entered the Iguazú Falls, where tourists enjoyed the majesty of the 275 shocking jumps, which form one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world, under a special logistical deployment to guarantee fluidity in the circuits and the safety of visitors.
Beyond the waterfalls, the tourist flow was also felt in the local gastronomy, the Duty Free Shop and tourist attractions, which also reported a positive influx. The combination of nature, high-end services and strengthened air connectivity allowed national and international tourists to once again choose our beautiful destination.
On the other hand, the city of Puerto Iguazú recorded an average hotel occupancy of 90%, consolidating the sustained growth trend that characterizes the destination.
The tourist movement not only met expectations, but in various sectors far exceeded them, since several hotel establishments operated at 100% of their capacity, which forced consultations to be derived and highlighted the importance of prior planning by travelers.
“These figures are the result of the work articulated between the public and private sectors to keep Iguazú as a current and competitive destination 365 days a year. Seeing hotels at full capacity is the best sign of health for our local economy,” said Iturem President Leopoldo Lucas.
With these results, Puerto Iguazú closes a successful cycle and prepares for upcoming events, demonstrating that its ability to amaze and infrastructure are more current than ever.
