The reactivation of the tourism industry in Mexico will be in charge of the Mayan World, which includes the five states of Yucatan, Tabasco, Campeche, Quintana Roo and Chiapas. The key to this new strategy is located in the Yucatan peninsula: Chichén Itzá, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

In a virtual conference organized by the Mexican Association of Travel Agencies (AMAV), the Secretary of Tourism of the state of Campeche, Jorge Enrique Manós Esparragoza, pointed out that “we can’t see the other states as competition, but as allies, we must sell us together because Mexico’s best beaches can be found in Quintana Roo, while one of the New 7 Wonders of the World is in Yucatan”.
