According to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), compared to the first weekend of September, the number of tourists coming to Agra in October was 25% higher. According to local authorities, the influx of domestic tourists has been beyond expectations in the current scenario.
In this regard, the Agra Tourist Welfare Chamber Secretary, Vishal Sharma, stated that “the number of domestic tourists is expected to rise even more as the year comes to an end, and this will ultimately assist the tourism industry in making a partial recovery from the damage it has faced in the past six months”.
