Year after year the annual number of tourists increases in Quintana Roo, the Mexican state that is located on the Yucatan Peninsula. Thousands of visitors choose this destination not only for its stunning beaches, but also for its proximity to one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, the Mayan temple of Chichen Itza.
Within the framework of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of Cancún, the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) launched a tourism real estate investment summit in which government sectors participated, along with the private initiative.
The real estate industry is imposed as the engine of the economy, since it generates jobs and improves the quality of life, according to the state governor, Carlos Manuel Joaquín González, during the inauguration of the Quintana Roo Tourism Investment Summit 2020.
Quintana Roo generates jobs for hundreds of Mexicans, while advancing in sustainable development; and “the Riviera Maya is the national badge that we show to the world,” said the official to businessmen and investors at the Cancun Convention Center. “The real estate industry is essential to sustain and increase and consolidate the economic progress of our state and its municipalities. You are a very important pillar, an ally of the tourism sector”, said the governor.
