With the aim of strengthening and promoting the Peruvian tourism industry internationally, Peru participated successfully in the prestigious ITB Berlin 2026 held in the capital of Germany, as reported by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PROMPERÚ).

During the event, held from March 3 to 5, a series of presentations, interactive activities and live demonstrations were held that allowed attendees to experience firsthand the authenticity of Peru.

From an immersive space inspired by the Amazon – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world, to the gastronomy that has positioned Peru as one of the most important culinary destinations in the world, ITB Berlin 2026 became a showcase to show the country to the international public.

The presence of Peru at the fair also stood out as Adventure Travel Partner of the ITB. Thanks to the participation in various panels on sustainable, adventure and community tourism, it was possible to publicize tourist products and innovative experiences that combine nature, culture and social responsibility.

Likewise, the German public was served at the second stand in Peru, located in the Adventure Pavilion, with the aim of enhancing the promotion of Peruvian destinations that have a sustainable adventure offer.

This important event, which annually brings together world tourism professionals, received almost 97,000 visitors during the 3 days of activity, an opportunity that allowed to strengthen the image of Peru as an authentic, diverse and sustainable destination, ideal for travelers looking to live unforgettable moments.

The Peruvian delegation, made up of 15 companies, aroused interest among professionals in the sector, positioning the country as an outstanding destination in the global tourism field. During the fair days, Peruvian co-exhibitors held more than 340 meetings with representatives of the international tourism industry, with the aim of strengthening strategic alliances and exploring new commercial opportunities.

In this way, it is projected that the sales potential generated in ITB Berlin will exceed 9 million dollars, significantly benefiting the Peruvian tourism sector.
